SOLUTION

Biometallurgy uses biological agents such as bacteria for metal extraction from ores, minerals and more recently, waste streams. At BioMetallica we are transforming the way we recycle precious metals from spent catalysts and e-wastes using synthetic biology and electrolysis technology.

PRODUCT FEATURES

We have successfully engineered a specific bacterial strain that demonstrates a remarkable increase in biogenic cyanide production, achieving concentrations over 100% higher than its non-engineered counterpart. This breakthrough is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of recycling precious metals from various waste streams.
